Terms of use

The tools are free to use. These terms explain what the results are, and what they are not.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Information only

Mail Health Report reads publicly available DNS records and explains what they mean. Results, suggested records and guides are provided for general information. They are not a guarantee that email will be delivered, and they do not replace advice from your email provider or IT professional. Always confirm records against your provider’s own setup instructions before changing your DNS.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. DNS answers can be cached, delayed or incorrect at the source, and providers change their requirements over time. We make no promise that results are complete, accurate or current.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for any changes you make to your domain, DNS or email settings. Make a note of existing records before changing them so you can undo a change if needed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mail Health Report is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the service, including lost email, lost business or disruption caused by DNS changes.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service unlawfully, overload it with automated requests, or use it in a way that interferes with other people’s use of it.

Availability

The service is free and may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time without notice. Features may be added or removed.

Third-party services and links

Lookups are answered by public DNS services (Google Public DNS and Cloudflare DNS), which operate under their own terms. Guides link to other websites, such as email providers and standards bodies, for convenience. We aren’t responsible for their content or availability.

Content

The text, design and code of this site belong to Mail Health Report. You may share links to any page and quote short extracts with a link back. Fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License.

Independence

Mail Health Report is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft, Google, GoDaddy, Cloudflare or any other company mentioned. Product names are used only to describe compatibility.

Changes
